A car-free Amalfi Coast stay works well when you group nearby visits, check the return journey first and keep a land alternative for any ferry outing.

Choose a base, not a different bed every night

Staying in one place reduces packing and repeated check-ins. From Marina d’Albori, allow time to reach the transport departure point as well as the advertised journey itself. A short ferry crossing may still require a local transfer and the steps at the beginning and end of your day. Plan around the whole journey rather than the time on the ticket.

Book the day around your return

Before choosing a departure, look at the last useful return and a comfortable earlier option. Check the exact departure point: Travelmar’s Amalfi Coast ferries leave from Molo Concordia in Salerno, a specific pier rather than the station or the city centre, so the town name alone is not enough. On Travelmar, search for your actual date and route; seasonal frequency and sea conditions can affect the plan. Keep tickets and meeting details accessible without mobile data.

Give each day one main destination

Amalfi and a visit inland to Ravello involve an additional land connection; Ravello is not a ferry stop. Trying to add Positano to the same outing leaves less time in each place and more dependence on connections. A simpler plan is a day for Amalfi, another for the area around Vietri, and an optional longer excursion when services fit.

Make the fallback pleasant

If boats are not operating, choose a local day rather than automatically replacing every ferry with a long road journey. Check land services before leaving and ask us about the final return to the property. The useful question is not whether you can see every town without a car, but whether you can enjoy your chosen towns with enough time to return comfortably.

A separate link to Marina d’Albori

On request and paid separately, indicatively June–September. Departure from Marina di Vietri sul Mare; around five minutes by boat. Season, price and availability are confirmed for each request; in rough seas use the land route. A public ferry ticket to Vietri does not include a direct transfer to the holiday homes. Sea arrivals require separate confirmation.
